Traveling to Orcas Island, WA
Our wedding venue is located on Orcas Island, WA, about 3 ½ hours north of Seattle.
For most, getting there will involve a road trip north to Anacortes, WA, and a beautiful ferry ride through the San Juan Islands.
Driving From Seattle
Drive to Anacortes
Drive north on I-5 towards the Anacortes Ferry Terminal. If possible, plan ahead to estimate the driving time based on traffic/time of day. Traffic moving north is busiest between 3-6pm.
Driving time: 1.5 - 3 hours
2. Board the Ferry
When you arrive at the Ferry Terminal, follow signs to line up for Orcas Island. The ride is about an hour long and will require a reservation for each vehicle.
Reservations open up 2 months before your sailing date at 7am Pacific. We recommend booking them as soon as possible. Additional spaces will become available 2 weeks prior and 2 days prior.
Plan to arrive at the terminal 45-60 minutes before your scheduled ferry departure (if you don’t check-in at least 30 minutes before departure, you may lose your reservation).
Once you’re on the ferry, head up to the passenger and enjoy the view! It’s a gorgeous ride!
3. Drive to Camp Moran
The hard part is over! Enjoy a leisurely drive along the winding hills of Orcas Island. We recommend downloading directions before you arrive on the island, as cell service can be spotty. The drive will take approximately 30 minutes from the Orcas Ferry Terminal.
Camp Moran address: 4600 Olga Rd, Olga, WA
Accommodations
We’re excited to share Orcas Island with you! There are many great accommodation options available. The island is a popular vacation destination — especially in the Summer — so we recommend booking early.
Camp Moran offers cozy summer camp style lodging on site. Each cabin sleeps 10-12. Restrooms are either located inside your cabin or just out the front door.
Free bunk reservations are available. Note that free reservations do not include linens. Bring your own or pack a sleeping bag!
For those who would like to stay with us but would rather not pack all the extras, we’ve got you covered! Reserve a bunk with linens ($40 fee) & they will be waiting at camp for you! This will include bed linens, blanket, pillow, and towels for the weekend.
